<br />BY: Mr. Boehmer <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />Ord. 70-65 <br />AN ORDINANCE <br />AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF $1093.75 TO THE <br />THREE RIVERS WATERSHED DISTRICT FOR A PORTION <br />OF THE COST OF ENGINEERING SERVICES. <br />WHEREAS, this Council has previously indicated its willing- <br />ness to participate in the cost of preparing an application to the <br />Department of Housing and Urban Development for a proposed Regional <br />Storm Drainage and Flood Study, Western Cuyahoga Gounty and Vincinity, <br />by passing Resolution N: 70-34 by which the City of North Olmsted <br />agreed to participate in the cost of this Application up to an amount <br />of $1bbb.75, and <br />WHEREAS, the Three Rivers Watershed District has agreed to <br />enter into an agreement with Stanley Consultants for engineering <br />services in connection with the preparation of such application for a <br />lump sum compensation in the amount of Five Thousand Dollars ($5000.00) <br />on condition that the affected municipalities in Western Cuyahoga County <br />jointly pay the Three Rivers Watershed District for the cost of such <br />engineering services, and <br />WHEREAS, the agreed portion to be contributed by this muni- <br />cipality is $ 1093.75 ; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City <br />of North Olmsted, State of Ohio, that: <br />Section 1. The Mayor and Finance Director are hereby <br />authorized and instructed to enter into an agreement on behalf of <br />this municipality with the Three Rivers Watershed District for the <br />payment of the sum of $ 1093.75 to the Three Rivers Watershed <br />District for this municipality's share of the cost of such engineering <br />services. <br />Section 2. The fiscal officer is hereby authorized and <br />directed to pay out of the general funds of this municipality the sum <br />of $ 1093.75 to the Three Rivers Watershed District in acnordance <br />with such agreement. <br />Section 3. This ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the <br />public peace, health and safety by reason of the immediate necessity <br />of facilitating the preparation of such engineering plans and the <br />filing of said application with HUD for funds.
