C <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 73- //O <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTIiJ RIZING THE MAYOR TO <br />ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH THE CITY OF <br />CLEVELAND FOR THE DETENTION OF PRISONEBuS <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, AND DE- <br />CLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the City of Cleveland has notified the Mayor of the City of <br />North Olmsted that upon execution of a contract they will accept and lodge prisoners <br />of the City of North Olmsted ;and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Cleveland has notified the Mayor and Council of the <br />City of North Olmsted that due to increased costs of maintenance of the facilities <br />for the lodging of prisoners that the daily rate must be increased commensurate with <br />the ~.ncreased costs. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Counts~l of the City of North <br />Olmsted, State of Ohio : <br />Section 1. That the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a contract <br />with the City of Cleveland for the confinement and lodging of prisoners of the City <br />of North Olmsted in the facilities to be provided by the City of Cleveland. <br />Section 2. That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, safety, <br />health and welfare of the City of North Olmsted by virl~e of the fact that the <br />City of North Olmsted does not have facilities for the lodging of prisoners and <br />must make immediate arrangements for the confinement and lodging of pri®oners. <br />WHEREFORE, this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force immediately upon <br />its passage, otherwise, at the earliest date permitted by law. . <br />PASSED: ~„~f~+'~! <br />ATTEST: <br />~~ , <br />Nora T.
