,. <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION N0. 73- ~S"' <br />By: <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC <br />SERVICE TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS TO INCREASE THE <br />PTJI~PT"CAPACITY OF THE LE BERN LIFT STATION AND <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT <br />FOR SAME, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the waste water lines of the general northeast section <br />of North Olmsted enter into the LeBern Lift Station; and <br />WHEREAS, the contributory area has developed to the point that <br />the additional waste water requires that additional pumping capacity <br />be inctarporated into the existing lift station; and <br />WHEREAS, the Council has been advised by the Director of Public <br />Service that it is necessary to make certain additions and alterations <br />to said lift station; and <br />WHEREAS, the Council has determined that the City is in need of <br />the increased pumping capacity; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of North <br />Olmsted, State of Ohio: <br />Section 1. That the Director of Public Service be and he is hereby <br />authorized to advertise for bids for the additions and alterations to <br />said lift station, to furnish labor, all necessary materials and equip- <br />ment, as set forth in the revised plans and specifications on file in <br />his office, that the funds for payment for said contract be set aside <br />in the Sewer Revenue Fund, and that upon the awarding of the contract <br />by the Board of Control of the City of North Olmsted, the Mayor is <br />hereby authorized to enter into a contract and execute same on behalf <br />of the City of North Olmsted and to do anything necessary to effectuate <br />said contract. <br />Section 2. That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emer- <br />gency measure necessary for the public peace, safety, health and welfare <br />of the citizens of North Olmsted, by virtue of the fact that the immediate <br />improvement of the lift station is necessary to protect the health of <br />the inhabitants of the City. WHEREFORE, this Resolution shall take effect <br />and be in force immediately upon its passage, otherwise at the earliest <br />period allowed by law. <br />PASSED : ~~- <br />ATTEST: <br />~~~~~ <br />G i~~ <br />Nora T.
