CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION N0. 68- /0 <br />B Y A RESOLUTION EXPRESSING THE VIEWS OF THE COUNCIL <br />WITH REGARD TO RESIDENCE OPPORTUNITIES WITHIN <br />THE CITY. <br />WHEREAS, The City of North Olmsted has grown within the last <br />seventeen years from a village to one of the finest residential communi- <br />ties within Cuyahoga County as a result of the efforts and financial <br />support of its citizens; and <br />WHEREAS, the Urban League of Cleveland has submitted to this <br />Council a form resolution concerning housing opportunities within the <br />City and a group of citizens have requested a legislative response to <br />this submitted resolution; and <br />WHEREAS, the municipal government of the City of North Olm- <br />sted has consistently offered the municipal services and advantages of <br />the City to all residents of the community without regard or concern <br />for the race, creed, color, religion or national origin of the citizens <br />involved; and <br />WHEREAS, all public officials of the City are sworn to up- <br />hold the Constitution of the United States and the State of Ohio, as <br />well as the Statutes and Ordinances of the State of Ohio and the City <br />of North Olmsted and will, in accordance with that oath, do so to the <br />best of their ability; and <br />WHEREAS, as public officials we individually recognize and <br />subscribe to the right of every person to live where he wishes and can <br />afford, as well as the corresponding right of every person to dispose <br />of his property in accordance with his individual principles and wishes <br />as provided by Federal and State law; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLUED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, <br />STATE OF OHIO: <br />Section 1. That the City of North Olmsted will continue to <br />offer to all citizens of the community, without regard, concern or <br />knowledge of their race, creed, color, religion or national origin, <br />all municipal services and advantages of the City in accordance with <br />the oath of office of each and every public official. <br />Section 2.
