CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 68- wg-Wr <br />BY g2e <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE BUILDING <br />COMMISSIONER TO PROCEED WITH THE DEMOLITION <br />OR REMOVAL OF THE DWELLING ON PERMAIVENT <br />PARCEL NO. 232-6-24-25-26 LORAIN ROAD, NORTH <br />OLMSTED, OHIO <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Ordinance No.1331. 01- <br />1331.06 of theCodified Ordinances of the City of North Olmsted, the Building <br />Commission has determined that abandoned dwellings at 28400 Lorain Road, <br />and also known as Permanent Parcel No. 232-6-24-25-26, 'the record title <br />holder of.'which if S. Biskind, is unsafe, dangerous to human life and a <br />hazard to the safety, health and public welfare of the City of North Olmsted; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, notice to repair, remove and demolish said buildings <br />was served by registered mail on said record title holder on December 14, 1967, <br />ordering him to repair, remove or demolish said dwellings and to commence <br />such repair, removal or demolition within forty-eight hours of receipt of said <br />notice; and <br />WHEREAS, said owner has failed within said time limit(?and <br />up to the present date to comply therewith, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council a:of the <br />City of North Olmsted, State of Ohio: <br />Section 1: That Council deems it necessary to proceed with the <br />demolition and remo-v?al of the dwellings or accessory buildings at 28400 Lorain <br />Road, North Olmsted, Ohio, also known as Permanent Parcel No. 232-6-24-25- <br />26 owned by S. Biskind, whose mailing addreGs i_s 10740 Broadway Avenue, <br />Cleveland, Ohio by reason of the fact that said dwellings have '- been determined <br />to be dangerous to human life and a ha7ard to the public safety, health and <br />welf,are and that the cost of said demolition and removal be paid from the <br />general fund of the City of North Olmsted and charged to the owner as a <br />special assess ment or lien on said parcel of land, and assessed and collected <br />i.n &he manner of other assessments as provided by law <br />Section 2: That the Clerk of Council is hereby directed to <br />forward to S. Biskind, at 10740 Broadway Avenue, Cleveland, Ohio , a copy of <br />thi s ordinance. <br />Section 3: WHEREFORE, this ordinance shall take effect and be in <br />force at the earliest period allowed b-?T Article IV, Section 12 of the Charter of the <br />City of North Olmsted. <br />PASSED: <br />ATTEST: <br />Florence Holm, Clerk ofCouncil <br />Francis J.
