x <br />BY • W ?rij ? <br />OE <br />CITY OF NORTH OLIVISTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 68- $17 <br />, <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING TWO HUNDRED AND <br />FIFTY AND 00/100 ($250. 00 ) DOLLARS FOR THE <br />INDEPENDENCE DAY PROGRAM FOR THE RESIDENTS <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY <br />WHEREAS, the North Ol.msted Chamber of C ommerce is <br />sponsoring a patriotic program on July 4, 1968, in observance of the histor- <br />ical, and tradittonal importance of Independence Day; and <br />WHEREAS, the Finance Committee has recommended that Council <br />authorize the expenditure of Two Hundred Fifty and 00/100 ($250.00 ) <br />Dollars for fireworks for the Fourth of July Celebration; and <br />WHEREAS, this Council feels that such a program is impc*tant and <br />a vital part of the recreation program of the City of North Olmsted for its <br />residents and especially for the children of the residents and further has <br />determined that the City of North Olmsted for this reason should spend <br />Tvo Hundred Fifty and 00/100 ($250.00 ) Dollars, for the costs of th9s <br />progra m . <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of <br />North Olmsted, State of Ohio: <br />Section 1. That there be appropriated from the General Fund the sum of <br />Two Hundred Fifty and 00/100 ($250.00 ) Dollars to apply on the cost of the <br />Independence Day Program; that the Director of Finance is hereby authorized to <br />pay said sum bf Tvo Hundred Fifty and 00/100 ($250.OU ) Dollars to the <br />North Olmsted Chamber of Commerce as spQasors of thfs program. <br />Section 2. That this ordfnance is hereby determined to be an <br />emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservatibm of the public <br />peace, health, safety and welfawa-? af the City by vlrtue of the fact that in <br />order to provide the July Faurth Proqram said authorization to purchase must be <br />in e#fect prior to Juiy 1, 1968.
