CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINA^dCE N0. 81- 1()7 <br />g y ; Mx. rscKAY <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING EIGHT THOUSAND DOLLARS ($8,000.00) <br />FROM THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPPIENT BLOCK GRANT FUND FOR MATERIAL <br />TO REPAIR THE COLUMBIA ROAD CULVERT, AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGEPJCY. <br />WHEREAS, the City ?f North Olmsted desires to reopen Columbia Road, <br />S.R. 252, by repairing the culvert constructed more th.an a half-century ago <br />in 1907 and extended in 1909, 1910 and 1924, and <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council has applied for and received approval <br />to use Community Development Block Grant Funds, and <br />WHEREAS, a recent examination of the City financial records by the <br />State Auditor has determined that the sum of all funds for a project, <br />including federal funds, must be appropriated by Council before certification <br />by the Finance Director. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION l: That Council hereby appropriates the sum of Eight <br />Thousand Dollars ($8,000.00) from the Community Block Grant Funds for <br />material to repair the Columbia Road Culvert. <br />SECTION 2: That the Clerk of Council shall immediately forward an <br />attested copy of the Ordinance to the Auditor of Cuyahoga County. <br />SECTI0N 3: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the public <br />peace, health, safety and welfare of the City, and for the further reason <br />that the federal funds are available, and the weather is now suitable for <br />construction, and the culvert is needed to preserve the health and safety <br />of the inhabitants of the City; wherefore, this Ordinance shall be in full <br />force and effect from and immediately after its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: <br />ATl"EST: 6?2na ?11 <br />FLOREMCE CAMPBELL, CLERK F COUNCIL DEWE .
