CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE NO. gg - 94 B Y : ~ a.~ AN ORDINANCE APPROVING AND ACCEPTING A COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT WITH THE NORTH OLMSTED TRANSIT EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION, COVERING FULL-TIME HOURLY EMPLOYEES OF THE NORTH OLMSTED MUNICIPAL BUS LINE AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO SAID AGREEMENT AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, the Administration has bargained with the North Olmsted Transit Employees Association covering full-time hourly employees in an effort to reach an amicable settlement between said Union and the City; and WHEREAS, said agreement has been finalized and put in writing, a copy of which agreement is attached hereto and made a part hereof and marked Exhibit A; and WHEREAS, this Council hereby approves the wage and benefit package established therein and desires to have the same formalized. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NOP.TH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and she is hereby authorized and directed to enter into a collective bargaining agreement with The North Olmsted Transit Employees Association covering full-time hourly employees, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof and marked Exhibit A. SECTION 2: That Ordinance Numbers 85-104 and 89-8 are specifically repealed and any other parts of Ordinances or other agreements inconsistent herewith are hereby specifically repealed. SECTION 3: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public, health, safety, and welfare and for further reason that it is immediately necessary to provide for the continuity of services provided by the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line in Cuyahoga County and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in farce immediately upon its passage and approval by the r9ayor.
