.~ CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE N0. 89 - 83 BY: MAYOR M. YVONNE PETRIGAC AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT OF THE WESTSHORE COUNCIL OF GOVERNMENTS TO ESTABLISH THE WESTSHORE SOLID WASTE COMMITTEE AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY . WHEREAS, Council is of the opinion that it would be beneficial to the citizens of the City of North Olmsted that the City join in the establishment of the Westshore Solid Waste Management Committee; and WHEREAS, the Westshore Solid Waste Management Committee will include the Mayors or their Representatives of the municipalities of Rocky River, Bay Village, Fairview Park, Lakewood, North Olmsted and Westlake, Ohio and two citizens appointed by the Mayor of each member municipality. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1. That the Mayor be and she is hereby authorized to execute an Amendment to the Agreement of the Westshore Council of Governments to establish the Westshore Solid Waste Management Committee, a copy of which is attached hereto, incorporated herein and marked Exhibit nAn~ SECTION 2. That. this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure, necessary for the immediate preservation of public peace, health and safety, and for the further reason that this ordinance is needed for the establishment of the Westshore Solid Waste Management Committee, and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds (2/3) of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor; otherwise it shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest period allowed by law.
