.- <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 89- 67 <br />BY: MAYOR M. YVONNE PETRIGAC <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED TO ENTER INTO AN <br />AGREEMENT WITH van Dijk, Johnson & Partners TO <br />PROVIDE ARCHITECTURAL AND ENGINEERING SERVICES <br />FOR THE RENOVATION OF THE RECREATION CENTER <br />COMPLEX, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, this Council is aware of the fact that the Recreation Center <br />roof is in dire need of repairs; and <br />WHEREAS, this Council is also aware that other improvements in addition <br />to the roof must be made a the Recreation Center Complex; and <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor has recommended that the services of the <br />architectural firm of van Dijk, Johnson & Partners be hired to accomplish <br />the aforesaid project due to their expertise in this field; and <br />WHEREAS, upon the recommendation of the Mayor, this Council does hereby <br />express its desire to have the Mayor enter into a contract with said firm <br />for and on behalf of the City. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and she is hereby authorized and directed <br />to enter into an agreement with van Dijk, Johnson & Partners for the <br />purpose of renovating the Recreation Center Complex. A copy of said <br />agreement is attached hereto and made a part hereof and marked Exhibit "A". <br />SECTION 2: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, <br />safety and welfare, and for the further reason that it is immediately <br />necessary to proceed with construction to remedy deficiencies at the <br />
