<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 89-39 <br />BY: RONALD J. WILAMOSKY <br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING CHAPTER 909 OF THE CODIFIED <br />ORDINANCES ENTITLED "APRONS", AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Council of the City of North Olmsted has been advised that <br />there are no sufficient standards or regulations governing the installation <br />of driveway aprons within the City right-of-way; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to require that any new or <br />reconstructed driveway aprons be uniformly constructed in accordance with <br />City standards and specifications. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That it is necessary to establish Chapter 909, Aprons, and <br />is hereby to read as follows: <br />909.01 PERMIT REQUIRED; FEES <br />No person, except in cases of undedicated subdivisions <br />or in streets where special assessments are to be made, <br />shall install or construct driveway aprons located in <br />the public right-of-way which connects to a paved ar <br />unpaved throughfare without first obtaining an Apron <br />Permit to do so from the Service Director. <br />The Service Director shall demand and receive a fee of <br />Fifteen Dollars {$15.00) before the issuance of any such <br />permit. This amount is necessary to defray the costs of <br />administration and inspection to insure conformance of <br />the work to City specifications. <br />No portion of the fee shall be refundable. <br />909.02 CONSTRUCTION STANDARDS <br />The following standards regarding the construction ox re <br />construction of aprons within the City right-of-way are <br />hereby established: <br />Curbs, if any shall be removed to permit the apron to be <br />constructed to the pavement.
