CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 83- 107 <br />BY: <br />MR. WILAMOSKY <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO <br />AN AGREEMENT WITH PIPESAVERS, INC., OF WESTMONT, <br />ILLINOIS, FOR THE RESTORATION OF 2.7 MILES OF WATER <br />LINE LOCATED IN LORAIN ROAD, IN THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, AND DECLARIr1G AN F"MFFG'9NCY. <br />WHEREAS, the western portion of the City of North Olmsted <br />has experienced a great deal of difficulty with respect to water <br />pressure, and <br />WHEREAS, Pipesavers, Inc., has an exclusive license to <br />clean water lines, and <br />WHEREAS, this Council deems it to be an emergency with <br />respect to relining the water lines in light of the fact that <br />Lorain Road is to be resurfaced, and also in light of the fact <br />that the firm known as Pipesavers, Inc., is the only Company in <br />the United States that performs such services, and it would be <br />fruitless to advertise for bids relative to this project, because <br />of the uniqueness of the services performed. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION l: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized <br />and directe to enter into an agreement with Pipesavers, Inc., for <br />the purpose of cleaning 2.7 miles of water line located in the <br />western end of the City of North Olmsted, which water line is Iocated <br />in Lorain Road. Said Agreement is attached hereto and made a part <br />hereof and marked Exhibit "A". <br />SECTION 2: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be <br />an emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of <br />the public health, safety and welfare, and for the further reason <br />that it is immediately necessary to restore proper water pressure <br />to the western end of the City of North Olmsted, and further provided <br />it receives the affirmative vote o£ two-thirds of all members elected <br />to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon <br />its passage and approval by the r-iayor. <br />PASSED: <br />ATTEST: <br />6 • , ? d-??i? -?C1 <br />LORENCE CAMPBELL, LERK OF COUNCIL JAMES D.
