Alft4 <br />.fto? 1-pol <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 83 - 25 <br />BY: Dean McKa <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING FIFTY-FOUR <br />THOUSAND DOLLARS ($54,000) FOR CAPITAL <br />EXPENSES, GENERAL OBLIGATION NOTE <br />ISSUANCE EXPENSES, AND GENERAL OBLIGATION <br />NOTE RETIREMENT, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHE8EA3, The City of North Olmsted has issued general obligation <br />notes in the principal sum of fifty-four thousand dollars ($54,000) <br />for the purpose of acquiring motor vehicles for the Department of <br />Public Safety through passage of Ordinance 83-10, and <br />WHEREAS, forty-nine thousand eight hundred twenty dollars <br />($49,820) is required per contract to purchase those vehicles, and <br />WHEREAS, four thousand one hundred eighty dollars ($4,180) is <br />required for not issuance expenses and first year interest expenses. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCTL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, STEiTE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the following sums be and are hereby set aside <br />and appropriated as follows: <br />CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND <br />Safety Department Vehicle Purchase $49,820. <br />GENERAL OBLIGATION BOND RETIREMENT FUND 4'?180 <br />5 : <br />SECTION 2: That the Clerk of Council shall immediately forward <br />an attested copy of this Ordinance to the Auditor of Cuyahoga County. <br />SECTION 3: That the City Director of Finance is hereby authorized <br />to draw his warrants on the City Treasury for payments from any of <br />the foregoing appropriations upon receiving proper certificates and <br />vouchers therefore, approved by the Board of Officers authorized by <br />law to approve same, or on Ordinance or Resolution of Council to make <br />the expenditures, provided that no warrants shall be drawn or paid <br />for salaries or wages except to persons employed by authority of and <br />in accordance with law or ordinance. <br />SECTION 4: That this Ordinance is declared to be an emergency <br />measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public <br />health safety and welfare, and for the further reason that it is <br />immediatply necessary for the continuity of services, and further, <br />provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all <br />Members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately <br />upon passage and approval by the Mayor.
