CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 83- 26 <br />B Y : e;e? <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC <br />SERVICE TO SELL THE FIVE (5) SINGLE FAMILY STRUCTURES <br />PRESENTLY BEING OCCUPIED BY THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, <br />WHICH ARE LOCATED ALONG DOVER CENTER ROAD, AND DECLARING <br />AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, as the result of the construction program of a <br />new administration building, service garage, and bus facility, <br />the five (5) single family structures that are presently being <br />occupied by the City are no longer needed, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to sell said <br />single family residences so that they may be removed from the <br />City property. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION l: That the Director of Public Service be and he <br />is here y aut orized to advertise the sale of said property for <br />two (2) consecutive weeks in a paper of general circulation in the <br />North Olmsted area, and that he receives the bids on the date designated <br />and present the same to the Board of Control with his recommendation <br />with respect to the awarding of the bid to the highest bidder. The <br />specification for bids, however, shall include a provision for a <br />bond, and shall also provide for the removal of said structures <br />within a designated period of time, with a further provision that <br />the failure to do so will result in a forfeiture of the purchase <br />price and the cost for demolition. <br />SECTION 2: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be <br />an emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of <br />the public peace, safety, health and welfare of the City of North <br />Olmsted, and for the further reason that it is necessary to coordinate <br />the sale of the homes with the move by the administxation building <br />into the new complex, and further provided it receives the affirma- <br />tive vote of two-thirds of al1 members elected to Council, it shall <br />take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval <br />by the Mayor. <br />APPR D: /jI/ <br />e ?•?-- ?t?,?.. ..,?..,;r..t?
