MCKAY <br />? <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED TO APPLY FOR A FEDERAL GRANT FOR THE <br />REHABILITATION AND DEVELOPMENT IN THE NORTH OLMSTED <br />PARK IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE MASTER PLAN WITH THE <br />SPECIFIC PURPOSE OF INVOLVING SMALL BUSINESS IN <br />PROVIDING JOBS AND ACCOMPLISHING BENEFITS OF A LASTING <br />VALUE, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Federal Jobs Bill (Public Law 98-8) provides <br />financial assistance for the rehabilitation of Public Lands and <br />Recreational areas, and <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted desires financial assist- <br />ance under the Federal Jobs Bill Funding Program. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />Section 1: That the Council of the City of North Olmsted <br />hereby approves filing an Application for financial assistance <br />under the Federal Jobs Bill (Public Law 98-9). <br />Section 2: That the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed <br />to excute ancTfile an application with the Office of Outdoor <br />Recreation Services, Ohio Department of Natural Resources, State <br />of Ohio, and to provide a11 information and documentation required <br />in said application for submission to the Federal Jobs Funding <br />Program enacted March 24, 1983. <br />Section 3: That the Council of the City of North Olmsted does <br />hereby agree to all Grant Conditions and the City of North <br />Olmsted shall maintain the improved site after the grant terminates. <br />Section 4: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure necessary for the preservation of the public <br />health, safety, and welfare and for the fur her reason that the <br />City lacks funds for rehabilitation and devopment of North Olmsted <br />Park, and to assist those individuals who are unemployed gain <br />employment, and for the further reason that this Grant Application <br />must be filed no later than May 27, 1983.
