<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 83- 90 <br />BY: MR. WILAMOSKY <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC <br />SAFETY TO DISPO5E OF SURPLUS VEHICLES AND EQUIPMENT <br />OWNED BY THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, AND DECLARING <br />AN EAIERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, due to the purchase of newer vehicles and equipment, <br />there presently are surplus vehicles and equipment owned by the <br />City of. North Olmsted which are no longer needed for municipal <br />purposes, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the <br />Director of Public Safety to sell said surplus property. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF NQRTH OLMSTED, <br />COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Safety be and he is <br />hereby au-t o ized to sell the surplus property which is listed <br />on Exhibit "A", which is attached hereto and made a part hereof <br />in the following manner: <br />A. By auction. <br />B. By sealed bid offering to purchase, either <br />individual vehicles and equipment, or the <br />whole lot. <br />C. By individual sales selling any particular <br />vehicle and equipment for the highest price <br />obtainable in the market. <br />The Director o£ Public Safety shall, however, advertise,the <br />method by which the surplus property are to be disposed of, thereby <br />providing notice of the method, together with a specific date for <br />either the auction or receipt of bids. <br />SECTION 2: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be <br />an emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation <br />of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the further <br />reason that it is immediately necessary to remove unneeded property <br />in anticipation of the impending move to the new facilities, and <br />further privided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds <br />of all members elected td Council, it shall take effect and be <br />in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: - q. /9i& <br />ATTEST: <br />F OR NCE CAMPBELL, CLEI?K OF COUNCIL 1ES .
