PETRIGAC <br />A RESOLUTION RECOMMENDING THAT THE OHIO DEPARTMENT <br />OF TRANSPORTATIOPT TAKE IMMEDIATE STEPS TO CONINIENCE <br />CONSTRUCTION OF THE RELOCATION OF ROUTE 252 WHICH <br />FALLS NORTH OF LORAIN ROAD AS AMENDED. <br />WHEREAS, the State of Ohio, Department of Transportation, has <br />proceeded with the southerly portion of relocated Route 252; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the belief of this Council, that once the southerly <br />portion of relocated Route 252 is opened, that traffic congestion will be <br />increased in the area of Butternut Ridge Road, Lorain Road and Country Club <br />Boulevard; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the belief of this Council, that in order to alleviate <br />the aforesaid traffic congestion, the best and most proper solution would <br />be to complete the proposed relocation of Route 252 in the area that falls <br />north of Lorain Road; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to urge the Ohio Department <br />of Transportation to take immediate steps to proceed with the construction <br />of relocated Route 252 in the area that falls north of Lorain Road. <br />NUl+I, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION l: That this Council strongly urges the Ohio Department of <br />Transportation to take immediate steps to commence construction of <br />relocated Route 252 in the area which falls north of Lorain Road. <br />SECTION 2: That the Clerk be and she is hereby directed to forward a <br />copy of this Resolution to the Ohio Department of Transportation and State <br />Representatives Jeffrey Jacobs, District 6, as well as State Senator Gary <br />Suhadolnik. <br />SECTION 3: That this Resolution shall take effeet and be in force <br />from and after the earliest period allowed by law. <br />PASSED:? <br />ATTEST: <br />FLORENCE CAMPBELL, C ERK OF ?
