? <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 84-55 <br />BY: a'l "t <br />or? <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE <br />DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE TO ADVERTISE FOR <br />THE RENOVATION OF THE NORTH OLMSTED OLD T0WN <br />HALL, LOCATED AT 5186 DOVER CENTER ROAD, AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted has received a Community <br />Development Block Grant from the Cuyahoga County Community Development <br />Department, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to fully comply <br />with all provisions of the aforesaid Cuyahoga County Community De- <br />velopment Department, and <br />tVHEREAS, it is the further desire of this Council to de- <br />termine the cost of said renovation as hereinbefore specified by <br />authorizing the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTF,D, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Service be and he is <br />hereby aut oriied to advertise for bids on a single bid basis, utiliz- <br />ing a general contractor, rather than soliciting sub-trade bids. The <br />bids to be solicited shall be in accordance with the specifications <br />which are now on file in the office of Public Service, and that upon <br />approval by the Board of Control, the Mayor is hereby authorized to <br />enter into a contract and execute the same on behalf of_ the City of <br />North Olmsted to the lowest and best bidder. <br />SECTION 2: That this Ordinance is hereby determined to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the <br />public health, safety and welfare, and for the further reason that it <br />is immediately necessary to commence renovation of the Old Town Hall so <br />that block grant requirements are met, and further, provided that it <br />receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to <br />Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its <br />passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED : <br />ATTEST: <br />Q <br />S D.
