., <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION N0. 85 - 55 <br />By; MR. WILAMOSKY <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE <br />TO ADVERTISE FOR AND ACCEPT BIDS FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF <br />THE GESSNER ROAD PAVEMENT AND ROADSIDE AREAS FROM THE <br />LORAIN ROAD INTERSECTION WESTWARD TO THE WALTER ROAD <br />INTERSECTION, AS DETAILED IN THE GESSNER ROAD PROJECT <br />SPECIFICATIONS ON FILE, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO <br />CONTRACT FOR SAME AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, City Council is desirous of improving the roadway, <br />berms and roadside ditches along a portion of Gessner Road, and <br />WHEREAS, the necessary plans and specifications as designed <br />by the Engineering Department of the City are on file, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of thi:s Council to authorize the <br />Mayor to enter into an agreement to construct said improvement. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Service be and he <br />is hereby authorized to advertise for bids for the improvement of <br />the Gessner Road pavement and roadside areas according to plans <br />and specifications now on file in his office and that, upon approval <br />by the Board of Control, the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter <br />into a contract and execute same on behalf of the City of North Olmsted. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the <br />public health, safety and welfare and further, provided it receives <br />the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, <br />it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage <br />and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: <br />ATTEST: <br />Florence E.
