Swietvniowski <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF <br />PUBLIC SERVICE TO ADVERTISE FOR AND ACCEPT <br />BIDS FOR THE SANITARY SEWER COLLECTION <br />SYSTEM REHABILITATION PROGRAM PHASE A - <br />MANHOLE REHABILITATION THROUGHOUT THE CITY <br />AS DESCRIBED IN PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS OPd <br />FILE, AND AUTHORIZING THE h1AY0R TO CONTRACT <br />FOR SAME AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />UJHEREAS, the Mayor and Council of North Olnsted desire <br />to initiate a Sanitary Sewer System Rehabilitation Program as <br />required as a condition of accepting a Federal grant to <br />construct improvements at the North Olmsted Wastewater Treat- <br />ment Plant; and <br />WHEREAS, ir compliance with Federal requirements and in <br />accordance with recommendations of Dalton,Dalton Newport, as <br />detailed in the SSFS Report, the Council and the Mayor are <br />desirous of reducing infiltration and inflow into the sanitary <br />sewer system to levels compatible with the capacity of the North <br />Olmsted Wastewater Treatment Plant. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLh1STED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION l: That the Director of Public Service be and he is <br />hereby authorized to advertise for bids for various improvements <br />to sanitary sewer manholes throughout the City according to <br />specifications now on file in his office, and that upon approval <br />by the Board of Control the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter <br />into a contract and execute same on behalf of the City of Pdorth <br />Olmsted. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergercy measure'immediately necessary for the preservation of <br />the public health, safety and welfare and further provicied it <br />receives ihe affirmative vote of two-thirds of all mernbers elected <br />to Council, it shall tal<e effect and be in force immediately upon <br />its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: <br />17- <br />ATTEST: <br />FLORENCE E.
