WI~,AMOSKY AN ORDINANCE ADOPTING A NEW AND REVISED CHAPTER 1321 OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES ENTITLED "PERMIT AND IN- SPECTION FEES", AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY, AS AMENDED. WHEREAS, the Council of the City of North Olmsted established a comprehensive rate structure for various permits required to be issued by the Building Department by virtue of the adoption of Ordinance No. 87-111, and WHEREAS, after careful study and review it has been determined that the rates pre- viously established are no longer adequate and that it is appropriate to adjust said rates to reflect current economic conditions. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION l: That there is hereby established a new and revised Chapter 1321 entitled "Permit and Inspection Fees" which new and revised Chapter shall read as follows: CHAPTER 1321 - PERMIT AND INSPECTION FEES 1321.01 GENERAL BUILDING FEES: CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION. The following permit and inspection fee schedule is authorized to be charged and collected by the Builddng Commissioner: (a) Certificate of Registration (General and Mason Contractor) Reference is made to Codified Ordinance Section No. 1317.08. (1) Registration Fee (Calendar Year)---------------------------------------- $ 75.00 (2) Renewal (if made by January 31st of following year of registration)----- $ 50.00 (3) After August 31st, prior to November 20th------------------------------- $ 40.00 (4) After Novenber 20th (certificate will be issued for following year)----- $ 75.00 (b) Residential .Buildings; New Construction: (1) One-family house: Initial fee------------------------------------------------------------- $ 75.00 Plus $5.00 for each 100 sq. ft, of the area of the building, including the uppermost stories of usable area-------------------------- $ 5.00 (2) Two-family houses: Initial fee for each unit----------------------------=------------------ $ 75.00 Plus $5.00 for each 100 sq. ft. of the area of the building, including the uppermost stories of usable area-------------------------- $ 5.00 (3) Apartment houses containing more than two dwelling units: Initial fee for each unit----------------------------------------------- $ 50.00 Plus $5.00 for each 100 sq, ft. of the area of a building, including the uppermost stories of usable area-------------------------- $ 5.00 (c) Residential Buildings, Additions: (1) Initial fee------------------------------------------------------------- $ 25.00 (2) Also, usable floor area fee per 100 sq. ft, in all stories-------------- $ 3.00
