~ ...... <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 87-134 <br />BY: MR. O'GRADY <br />AN ORDINANCE REPEALING ORDINANCE N0. 72-38 WHICH GRANTED <br />FREE TRANSPORTATION ON THE NORTH OLMSTED MUNICIPAL BUS <br />LINE TO RETIRED, FULL-TIME EMPLOYEES OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY, AS AMENDED. <br />WHEREAS, the City recognizes that by virtue of the current operating <br />agreement between the North Olmsted Municipal Bus Line and the Greater <br />Cleveland Regional Transit Authority that Ordinance No. 72-38 is incon- <br />sistent with this agreement, and <br />WHEREAS, in new negotiations between the above stated parties which <br />will ultimately conclude in a new operating agreement it is best to repeal <br />Ordinance No. 72-38, and <br />WHEREAS, there is an established fare policy for senior citizens and <br />disabled transit riders which allows for substantial fare discounts as <br />authorized by the Greater Cleveland REgional Transit Authority Board of <br />Trustees for all residents of Cuyahoga County. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That Ordinance No. 72-38 is hereby repealed. <br />SECTION 2: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, <br />safety and welfare and for the further reason that it is immediately <br />necessary to provide for the continuity of service of the North Olmsted <br />Municipal Bus Line, and further, provided it receives the affirmative vote <br />of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and <br />be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: ~~~~Q,i? ~ ,9~8 <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />~. <br />J ET A.
