CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 87 - 118 <br />BY: <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC <br />SERVICE TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR 365,000 <br />POUNDS OF POWDERED CARBON A YEAR FOR TWO YEARS, <br />FOR USE BY THE NORTH OLMSTED WASTEWATER <br />TREATMENT FACILITIES PLANT, AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGELVCY . <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Service be and he is hereby <br />authorized to advertise for bids for 365,000 Pounds of Powdered Carbon per <br />year for two years for use by the North Olmsted Wastewater Treatment <br />Facilities Plant, according to specifications now on file in his office, and <br />that upon approval by the Board of Control, the Mayor is hereby authorized <br />to enter into a contract and execute same on behalf of the City of North <br />Olmsted. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the Public <br />Safety, Health and Welfare and for the further reason that it is immediately <br />necessary to provide for the powdered carbon requirements of the Wastewater <br />Treatment Facilities Plant, and further provided it receives the affirmative <br />vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect <br />and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br />ORENCE E.
