CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED ORDINANCE N0. 87- 116 BY: MR. O'GRADY AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TRAFFIC CONTROL FILE OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED TO CHANGE THE "NO RIGHT TURN ON RED" SIGN AT CLAGUE ROAD AND I-480 TO READ "NO RIGHT TURN ON RED FROM 7:00 A.M. until 6:30 P.M." AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, this Council has determined that it is in the best interest of the safety, health, and welfare of the citizens of the City of North Olmsted to prohibit the turning on red at Clague Road and the I-480 Exit between the hours of 7:00 A.M, and 6:30 P.M, on weekdays only, and WHEREAS, Chapter 305 of the Traffic Code provides for the maintenance of the Traffic Control File, which said File can be amended only by Ordinance. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That the Police Department be and the same is hereby authorized and directed to amend the Traffic Control File of the City of North Olmsted to indicate thereon the installation of a "No Right Turn on Red Between the Hours of 7:00 A.M, and 6:30 P.M." sign at the intersection of Clague Road and I-480 Exit, as aforesaid. SECTION 2: That the Mayor be and she is hereby authorized and directed to cause said "No Right Turn on Red Between the Hours of 7:00 A.M, and 6:30 P.M." sign to be installed in accordance with the provisions of this Ordinance. SECTION 3: That this ordinance is hereby declared an emergency measure necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall go into immediate force and effect upon its signing by the Mayor.
