,.~. CITY OF .NORTH OLMSTED RESOLUTION N0. 87 - 83 BY: MR. WILAMOSKY A RESOLUTION OBJECTING TO THE RENEWAL OF THE LIQUOR PERMIT OF EDDIE'S NIGHTCLUB, 25973 BROOKPARK ROAD, NORTH OLMSTED, OHIO, BASED UPON ENVIRONMENTAL FACTORS WHICH INTERFERE WITH PUBLIC DECENCY, SOBRIETY, AND GOOD ORDER IN THE NEIGHBORHOOD, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, during the past year there have been over 100 incidents re- quiring police attention and officers responding to the area at or near Eddie's Nightclub, 25973 Brookpark Road, North Olmsted, Ohio. WHEREAS, it has been determined that these incidents are related either directly or indirectly, to the aforesaid liquor permit premises. WHEREAS, several persons have been seriously injured on or adjacent to the liquor permit premises known as Eddie's Nightclub by reason of "barroom fights", assaults and attacks directly related to the selling and consumption of alcoholic beverages at said permit premises.. WHEREAS, the North Olmsted Fire Department has inspected said premises on several occasions and found overcrowded conditions and other circumstances which, in the event of a fire, could result in serious injury and loss of lives to a number of persons. WHEREAS, it has been determined that the aforesaid conditions and in- cidents are directly or indirectly related to the bar known as Eddie's Nightclub and that said bar has created environmental factors which interfere with the public decency, sobriety and good order in the neighborhood in the City of North Olmsted, Ohio.. NOW, Tf-~REFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO AND PURSUANT TO OHIO REVISED CODE 4303.292 (A) (2)(c). SECTION l: That the City of North Olmsted hereby objects to the renewal of e liquor permit for Eddie's Nightclub located at 25973 Brookpark Road, North Olmsted, Ohio, based upon environmental factors which. cause interference with public decency, sobriety and good order in the neighborhood pursuant to Ohio Revised Code 4303.292 (A) (2) (c). SECTION 2: That the Clerk of Council shall immediately forward an attested copy of ~iis Resolution to the Hearing and Appeals Section of the Pernit Division, Ohio Department of Liquor Control as well as to Eddie's Nightclub, .25973 Brook- park Road, North Olmsted, Ohio..
