<br />A RESOLUTION DECLARING THE NECESSITY OF AN ELEC-
<br />TION ON THE QUESTION OF APPROVING THE PASSAGE OF
<br />AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTIONS 1501.0101,
<br />1501.0501, 1501.0502, 1501.1302 AND 1501.2101 OF
<br />THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF NORTH
<br />OLMSTED, OHIO, IN ORDER TO INCREASE THE MUNICIPAL
<br />INCOME TAX RATE FROM ONE PERCENT TO ONE AND THREE-
<br />FOURTHS PERCENT, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.
<br />BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of North Olmsted, Cuyahoga
<br />County, Ohio, that:
<br />Section 1. This Council hereby authorizes and directs the submission
<br />to the electors of the City of North Olmsted, Ohio, at an election to be held
<br />at the usual places of voting in the City on Tuesday, November 3, 1987, be-
<br />tween the hours of 6:30 a. m. and 7:30 p. m. of that day, of the question of
<br />approving the passage of an ordinance to amend Sections 1501.0101, 1501.0501,
<br />1501.0502, 1501.1302 and 1501.2101 of the Codified Ordinances of the City of
<br />North Olmsted, Ohio, as established by Ordinance No. 67-70, passed May 16,
<br />1967, as amended by Ordinance No. 68-105, passed June 18, 1968, and Ordinance
<br />No. 71-161, passed December 21, 1971, in order to increase the municipal in-
<br />come tax rate from one percent to one and three-fourths percent, which ordi-
<br />nance is set forth in full in Section 2 of this resolution.
<br />Section 2. The proposed ordinance to be submitted to the electors of
<br />the City for their approval under this resolution shall be as follows:

<br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of North Olmsted, Cuyahoga
<br />County, Ohio, that:
<br />Section 1. Section 1501.0101 of the Codified Ordinances of the City
<br />of North Olmsted, Ohio, as established by Ordinance No. 67-70, passed May 16,
<br />1967, is hereby amended to read as follows:
<br />"1501.0101 PURPOSE OF LEVY OF INCOME TAX.
<br />To provide funds for the purpose of general municipal
<br />functions, maintenance, new equipment, extension, enlarge-
<br />ment and improvement of municipal services and facilities
