It <br />01,, <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 88-143 <br />$Y: RON WILAMOSKY <br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING AND FI%ING THE COMPENSATION <br />FOR THE MAYOR OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED FOR THE TERM <br />OF OFFICE COMMENCING JANUARY 1, 1990 AND ENDING DECEMBER <br />31, 1993, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY, AS AMENDED. <br />WHEREAS, the Charter of the City of North Olmsted, at Article IV, <br />Sectian 6, requires the Council to fix the compensation for all elected <br />officials at least thirty (30) days prior to the filing date of nominating <br />petitions far terms beginning on the next succeeding lst day of January; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the date for filing nominating petitions for elected officials <br />in the City of Narth Olmsted is March 3, 1989; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to establish the compensation <br />for all elected officials in compliance with the Charter requirements. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the salary to be paid to the Mayor term commencing <br />January 1, 1990 and ending December 31, 1993, shall be as follaws: <br />Effective January 1, 1990 through December 31, 1990 -$41,300.00 <br />Effective January 1, 1991 through December 31, 1991 -$43,100.00 <br />Effective January 1, 1992 through December 31, 1992 - $45,100.00 <br />Effective January 1, 1993 through December 31, 1993 - $47,100.00 <br />SECTION 2: That in addition to the salary specified in Section 1 <br />hereof, the City of North Olmsted shall pay hospitalization coverage in an <br />amount and to the extent that such coverage is provided to administrative <br />and bargaining unit employees. <br />SECTION 3: That the compensation as specified in Section 1 and 2 <br />hereof are being established only for the purgose of complying with the <br />Charter requirements as outlined in Article IV, Section 6, and in no way <br />affect any of the other provisions of any ordinance relating ta the <br />organizational chart of either administrative of legislative officers. <br />SECTION 4: That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, <br />safety and welfare, and for the further reason that it is immediately
