<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 88-97 <br />BY: MAYOR M. YVONNE PETRIGAC <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN <br />AGREEMENT WITH THE CITY OF WESTLARE FOR THE JOINT <br />COOPERATION IN PAVING MAPLE RIDGE ROAD BETWEEN WALTER <br />ROAD AND COLUMBIA ROAD, AND DECLARING AN IIKERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, Maple Ridge Road between Walter Road and Columbia Road is <br />situated in both the City of North Olmsted and the City of Westlake in that <br />the centerline is the dividing line between both municipal corporations; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the administration and this council that <br />it is appropriate to enter into a joint agreement with the City of Westlake <br />for purposes of cooperating and having the roadway paved; and <br />WHEREAS, this Council is desirous of having the Mayor enter into an <br />agreement to accomplish same. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and she is hereby authorized and directed <br />to enter into an agreement with the City of Westlake for the purpose of <br />jointly paving Maple Ridge Road between Walter Road and Columbia Road which <br />agreement shall be consistent with the agreement that is attached hereto <br />and made a part hereof as Exhibit "A". <br />SECTION 2: This ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, <br />safety and welfare and for the further reason that it is immediately <br />necessary to proceed with said project to meet the time commitments for <br />paving in the year 1988, and further provided it receives the affirmative <br />vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect
