CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 88 - 96 <br />BY: MR. BOEHMER <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE SALE OF <br />SURPLUS PERSONAL PROPERTY OWNED BY THE <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED AND PREVIOUSLY USED <br />BY THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SERVICE, THE <br />SAFETY DEPARTMENT, AND THE RECREATION <br />COMPLEX, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Council and the Administration have determined <br />that various items of Personal Property owned by the City of <br />North Olmsted and formerly used by the Department of Public <br />Service, the Safety Department, and the Recreation Complex are no <br />longer needed for municipal purposes, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to sell said <br />Personal Property in accordance with Law. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: TYiat the following Personal Property was <br />formerly used by the Department of Public Service, the Safety <br />Department, or the Recreation Complex, and is no longer needed <br />for municipal business, to wit: <br />See attached Schedule "A" made a part <br />hereof as though fully rewritten herein. <br />SECTION 2: That the Mayor be and she is hereby authorized <br />to sell said Personal Property to the highest bidder according to <br />Law, provided, however, that the highest bidder is approved by <br />the Board of Control and further provided that the highest bidder <br />shall, upon acceptance of the bid, pay to the Director of Finance <br />of the City of North Olmsted, twenty-five percent (25%) of the <br />bid price and that within five (5) days thereafter, the entire <br />bid price shall be paid and the successful bidder shall accept <br />and remove said property from the premises of the City. The <br />Mayor, having been advised upon receipt of the full bid price, <br />shall, if necessary, execute any and all documents required by <br />Law. <br />SECTION 3: <br />emergency measure <br />the Public Health <br />that the Sale of <br />value thereof for <br />That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of <br />, Safety and Welfare and for the further reason <br />Surplus Equipment is necessary to protect the <br />resale purposes.
