-k <br />CITY OF NORTH OINlSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 88- 64 <br />BY: Mayor Petrigac <br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE ORGANIZATION OF THE POLICE <br />DIVISION OF TI-E DEPARZMQVT OF PUBLIC SAFE`I'Y, AND DECLARING <br />AN IIMERGENCY. <br />NOW, TEEREF'ORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY `IHE COUNCIL OF TBE CITY OF NORTH OIMSTED, <br />COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION l: The Organizational G`hart for the Police Division of the City of <br />North Olmsted shall be as follows: <br />A. The Organizational Chart for the,Police Division and the personnel set <br />forth in the Organizational Chart shall consist of the Chief of Police who sha11 <br />be in charge of the entire Police Division. <br />B. The Chief of Police shall also be in charge of a11 Non-Uniform Personnel <br />in accordance with Ordinance establishing same, by the Council of the City of North <br />0]msted. <br />C. The Chief of Police sha11 also be in charge of the General Duty Uniform <br />Roster, which sha11 consist of: 'Itivo (2) Captains, Three (3) Lieutenants, Five (5) <br />Sergeants, between twenty-eight (28) and thirty-four (34) Patrolmn. <br />D. The Chief of Police shall also be in charge of a Detective Bureau consisting <br />of Six (6) of the Police Personnel mentioned in Section 1-C above. One (1) member <br />of the Detective Bureau sha11 serve as the Juvenile Officer of the North 0]msted <br />Police Division. <br />E. The Police Division as constituted herein shall be classified by the <br />Director of Public Safety, as required by law. <br />SECTION 2: That all ordinances or resolutions or parts of ordinances and <br />resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed with the effective date of <br />this ordinance. <br />SECTION 3: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency mea5ure. <br />irranediately necessary for the preservation of the public hsalth_,:saf`ety a,nd welfare <br />and for the flurther reason it is irraned3.ately necessary tp provj,de a change in rank <br />structure and further, provided it receives the affiz'mtive vote of twoo--thirds of <br />all members elected to Council, it shall take e#'fect and be 3n force Jrtnediately <br />upon its passage and approval of the Mayor. <br />PASSID : rf <br />A T; <br />6• ? <br />F'Ibrence E.
