CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 88- 10 <br />BY: MAYOR M. YVONNE PETRIGAC <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A <br />CONTRACT WITH TRAFF-PRO CONSULTANTS, INC. FOR THE <br />PURPOSE OF PREPARING A TRAFFIC SIGNAL STUDY OF FIVE <br />INTERSECTION WITHIN THE CITY IN CONJUNCTION WITH AND <br />UNDER THE CONDITIONS OF A GRANT FROM THE OHIO DEPARTMENT <br />OF HIGHWAY SAFETY, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor has advised Council that there is available to the <br />City funding through the Ohio Department of Highway Safety for the study of <br />traffic signalization; and <br />WHEREAS, that funding is on the basis of ninety percent (90%) ten <br />percent (10%) with the City paying the entire contract cost and being <br />reimbursed to the extent of ninety percent (90%) of the contract price; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to <br />enter into an agreement with Traff-Pro Consultants, Inc. to study five <br />high accident interesection within the City in accordance with the terms <br />and conditions of the contract which is attached hereto and made a part <br />hereof and marked Exhibit "A". <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY AND THE STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and she is hereby authorized to enter <br />into an agreement with Traff-Pro Consultants, Inc. which agreement is <br />attached hereto and made a part hereof and marked Exhibit "A" provided <br />however that this authorization is given with the understanding that the <br />funding for the project cost will be on a ninety percent (90%) ten percent <br />(10%) basis with the City assuming ten percent (10%) of the cost of the <br />studp after appropriate reimbursement. <br />SECTION 2: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, <br />safety and welfare and for the further reason that it is in the best <br />interest of the residents that high accident areas be identified and <br />remedial measures taken, and further, provided it receives the affirmative <br />vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect <br />1
