RESOLUTION N0. 91 - 188 <br />BY: Mr. Nashar <br />A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE OHIO DEPARTMENT <br />OF TRANSPORTATION TO IMPROVE BROOKPARK ROAD, <br />STATE ROUTE 17, FROM THE INTERSECTION OF LORAIN <br />ROAD TO THE EAST CORPORATION LINE BY RESURFACING AND <br />CURB REPAIR AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the pavement and curbing on Brookpark Road, State Route <br />17, has deteriorated from the intersection of Lorain Road to the east <br />corporation line, and <br />Whereas, the City of North Olmsted is desirous of cooperating with <br />the State of Ohio, Department of Transportation, in the improvement of <br />Brookpark Road, State Route 17. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVID BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the City of North Olmsted hereby requests that the <br />Ohio Department of Transportation improve Brookpark Road, State Route <br />17, from the intersection of Lorain Road to the east corporation line by <br />resurfacing the pavement and repairing the curbing, under the <br />supervision of the State of Ohio, Department of Transportation. <br />SECTION 2: That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby directed <br />to transmit copies of this Resolution to the Ohio Department of <br />Transportation, District Deputy Director. <br />SECTION 3: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the <br />public health, safety and welfare and for the further reason that it is <br />immediately necessary for the protection of the traveling public, and <br />further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all <br />members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force <br />immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />~,,._ <br />PASSED: / ~ ~ <br />ATT T: <br />BARBARA L .
