CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 91-98 <br />BY: JAMES LEONARD <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TRAFFIC CONTROL <br />FILE OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED BY PROVIDING <br />FOR THE INSTALLATION OF TWO STOP SIGNS AT THE <br />INTERSECTION OF DECKER ROAD AND MIDVALE <br />AVENUE, THEREBY CONTROLLING THE TRAFFIC <br />TRAVELLING BOTH NORTH AND SOUTH ON DECKER <br />ROAD WHERE THE SAME INTERSECTS WITH MIDVALE <br />AVENUE. <br />WHEREAS, this Council is aware of the fact that there are currently stop signs <br />controlling traffic travelling east and west on Midvale Avenue where the same intersects with <br />Decker Road; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the belief of this Council that the lack of stop signs on Decker Road <br />controlling traffic travelling north and south is a safety hazard; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to correct the aforesaid deficiency by <br />installing stop signs on Decker Road controlling traffic travelling north and south thereby making <br />this intersection a four way stop intersection; and <br />WHEREAS, Chapter 305 of the Traffic Code provides for the maintenance of the <br />Traffic Control File, which said file can be amended only by ordinance. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Police Department be and the same is hereby authorized and <br />directed to amend the Traffic Control File of the City of North Olmsted to indicate thereon the <br />installation of two stop signs at the intersection of Decker Road and Midvale Avenue, thereby <br />controlling the traffic travelling north and south on Decker Road, as aforesaid. <br />SECTION 2: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized and directed to cause said <br />two stop signs to be installed in accordance with the provisions of this Ordinance. <br />SECTION 3: That this ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after the <br />
