<br />• <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION N0. 91 - 84 <br />BY: Mayor Boyle and the entire Council <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE TO <br />ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF AN ENCLOSID HANDICAPPID <br />PAVILION AT THE HORIZONS EARLY INTERVENTION CENTER 1N THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the City was awarded a grant by the Cuyahoga County Board <br />of Commissioners for the purpose of constructing a handicapped <br />accessible pavilion at the Horizons Early Intervention Center and, <br />WHEREAS, the City has had plans and specifications prepared for <br />an Enclosed Handicapped Pavilion at the Horizons Early Prevention Center <br />in the City of North Olmsted and deems it appropriate for the safety and <br />welfare of the public to construct the aforesaid improvements, and <br />WHEREAS, this Council, having been advised of the recommendation of <br />the City Engineer is desirous of the having the director of Public <br />Service advertise for bids in accordance with the plans and <br />specifications now in his office for the purpose of constructing an <br />Enclosed Handicapped Pavilion. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTID COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO. <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Fublic Service be and he is hereby <br />authorized to advertise for the bids for the Enclosed Handicapped <br />Pavilion at the Horizons Early Treatment Center in the City of North <br />Olmsted, all which shall be in accordance with specifications now on <br />file in his office and that the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into <br />a contract with the Cuyahoga County Board of Commissioners to receive <br />the grant for the pavilion, and that upon approval by the Board of <br />Control, the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a contract for <br />construction, and execute the same on behalf of the City of North <br />Olmsted. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, <br />safety and welfare, and for the further reason that it is immediately <br />necessary to take corrective actions in order to insure the health, <br />safety and welfare of the residents, and further, provided that it <br />receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to <br />Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its <br />passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />
