CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION N0. 91 - ~1 <br />BY: Councilman Nashar <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE <br />TO NEGOTIATE A CONTRACT WITH NORSTAN FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO THE <br />TELEPHONE SYSTEM FOR THE POLICE STATION, AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the City previously entered into a contract with Norstan <br />for a telephone system at the Police Station, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to upgrade the existing <br />telephone system, <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVID BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION l: That the Director of Public Service be and he is hereby <br />authorized to negotiate a contract with Norstan for improvements to the <br />telephone system at the Police Station, and that upon approval by the <br />Board of Control, the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a <br />contract and execute same on behalf of the City of North Olmsted. <br />SECTION: 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure necessary for the preservation of the public health, <br />safety and welfare, and for the further reason that it is immediately <br />necessary to negotiate a contract for improvements to the telephone <br />system at the Police Station, and further provided it receives an <br />affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it <br />shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and <br />approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: J ry~ ~Q ~~ <br />ATTEST: <br />r,, 'J <br />/' <br />f Barbara Seman ~~ James D.
