CITY OF NORTH OLNLSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 91-55 <br />gy; DEAN McKAY <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC <br />SERVICE TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE PURCHASE <br />OF TWO (2), SIX PASSENGER, FOUR DOOR SEDAN <br />AUTOMOBILES TO BE USED BY THE MAYOR AND SERVICE <br />DIRECTOR. <br />WHEREAS, this Council recognizes that the automobiles presently being <br />used by the Mayor and Service Director have accumulated a great many miles <br />and are presently obsolete for purposes of utilizing said vehicles for <br />administrative purposes, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of <br />Public Service to advertise for bids for the purchase of two (2) new <br />automobiles which will be used by the Mayor and Service Director <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF 'IIiE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO; <br />SECTION l: That the Director of Public Service be and he is hereby <br />authorized to advertised for bids for the purchase of two (2) 1991 auto- <br />mobiles to be used by the Mayor and Service Director, which shall be in <br />accordance with specifications now on file in his office, and that upon <br />approval by the Board of Control, the Mayor is authorized to enter into a <br />contract and execute same on behalf of the City of North Olmsted. <br />SECTION 2: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, <br />safety and welfare and for the further reason that it is immediately <br />necessary to replace the existing automobiles being used by the Mayor and <br />Service Director which are obsolete because of excessive mileage, and <br />further provided it received the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all <br />members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately <br />upon its pa-sage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: ._ ~ ~~ }' ~~ ~/ / <br />ATTESTS ;/ <br />1 <br />~~ ~ ~ ~ ~~ <br />BARBARA L.
