a <br />~._ <br />~- .~ <br />~. <br />CITY OF NOR1S OLMS'l~ <br />RESOLUTION N0. 91 - 51 <br />By: <br />Councilman Nashar <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE TO <br />ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF PAVE1~Tr SLAB REPAIRS <br />AT VARIOUS LOCATIONS IN Tf~ CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the City Engineer has had plans and specifications prepared for <br />pavement slab repairs at various locations in the City of North Olmsted <br />Olmsted and deems it appropriate for the safety and welfare of the public to <br />construct the aforesaid improvements, and <br />WHEREAS, this Council, having been advised of the recommendation of the <br />City Engineer is desirous of having the Director of Public Service advertise for <br />bids in accordance with the plans and specifications now in his office for the <br />purpose of pavement slab repairs. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO. <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Service be and he is hereby <br />authorized to advertise for the bids for the repair of pavement slabs at various <br />locations in the City of North Olmsted, all of which shall be in accordance with <br />specifications now on file in his office, and that upon approval by the Board of <br />Control, the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a contract and execute the <br />same on behalf of the City of North Olmsted. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety <br />and welfare, and for the further reason that it is immediately necessary to take <br />corrective actions in order to insure the health,. safety and welfare of the <br />residents, and further, provided that it receives the affirmative vote of <br />two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in <br />force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />~.___._` // <br />PASSED: ~v ~~ /9~j <br />ATTEST: <br />-~ ~_ ~~ <br />," <br />Barbara L.
