CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE NO. 91-44 <br />BY: Councilman Thomas O'Grady <br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE ORGANIZATION OF THE <br />POLICE DIVISION OF THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY, AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />SECTION 1: That the Organizational Chart for the Police Division of the City of <br />North Olmsted shall be as follows: <br />A. 77te Organizational Chart for the Police Division and the personnel set <br />forth in the Organizational Chart shall consist of the Chief of Police, <br />who shall be in charge of the entire Police Division. <br />B. The Chief of Police shall also be in charge of all Non-uniform Personnel <br />in accordance with the Ordinance establishing the same, by the Council of <br />the City of North Olmsted. <br />C. The Chief of Police shall also be in charge of General Duty Uniform <br />Roster, which shall consist of.• two (2) Captains, four (4) Lieutenants, five <br />(5) Sergeants, between thirty four (34) and thirty-nine (39) Patrolmen. <br />D. The Chief of Police shall also be in charge of a Detective Bureau consist- <br />ing of seven (7) of the Police Personnel mentioned in Section 1-C above. <br />E. The Police Division as constituted herein shall be classified by the Direc- <br />tor of Public Safety, as required by law. <br />SECTION 2: That all ordinances or resolutions or parts of ordinances and resolutions <br />in conflict herewith are hereby repealed with the effective date of this ordinance. <br />SECTION 3: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare and for the <br />further reason that it is immediately necessary to provide a change in rank structure, and fur- <br />ther provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, <br />it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: %,%~ti~c=e,~ /9, /%~ <br />ATTEST: <br />BARBARA SEMAI~ <br />~`~ Acting Clerk of Cou it <br />3 -~ y- 9/ <br />MAYOR ED D .
