.. ~~ r ~ ~ <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />Ordinance No. 91-27 <br />By : Patricia Bahas <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING DON <br />COPELAND TO MAKE APPLICATION ON BEHALF OF THE <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED FOR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT <br />BLOCK GRANT FUNDS FOR THE FISCAL YEAR 1991, <br />(17TH YEAR), AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY <br />WHEREAS,this Council, after public hearing conducted <br />on January 10, 1991, has determined the city of North Olmsted <br />qualifies for Community Development Block Grant funds; and <br />WHEREAS, the Community Development Block Grant appli- <br />cation for Fiscal Year 1991 has a funding ceiling of X150,000; and <br />WHEREAS, this City has designated two projects which are <br />deserving of being funded by Community Development Block Grant <br />funds; and <br />WHEREAS; said projects consist of designating the Improve- <br />ment of Elm Road as the number one prioity project and Improvement <br />of Sewers on Fleharty Road as the number two prioity project; and <br />WHEREAS, said projects consist of designating a Community <br />Development Block Grant application amount not to exceed X70,000 <br />for the Improvement of Elm Road, and X60,000 for Improvement of <br />Sewers on Fleharty Road; and <br />WHEREAS, the City recognizes that it is necessary to adopt an <br />Ordinance indicating there is authority to apply for said Community <br />Development Block Grant funds_ <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO= <br />5ECTION 1= That this Council does hereby authorize and <br />direct Don Copeland to apply for Community Development Block Grant <br />funds for Fiscal Year 1991 , (17th Year) on behalf of the City of North <br />Olmsted. Included in the application shall be the aforesaid projects. <br />SECTION 2= That this ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the <br />public health, safety, and welfare, and for the further reason it is <br />immediately necessary for the City to file an application for <br />Community Development Block Grant funds on or before March 4, 1991, <br />and further, provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds <br />of all members of the Council, it shall take effect and be in force <br />immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor_ <br />
