CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION N0. 91 - 11 <br />By; Councilman George Nashar <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE TO ADVERTISE <br />FOR BIDS FOR THE RECONSTRUCTION OF ELM ROAD IN THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the City Engineer has had plans and specifications prepared <br />for roadway improvements on Elm Road and deems it appropriate for the <br />best utilization of the roadway to construct the aforesaid roadway <br />improvements, and <br />WHEREAS, this Council, having been advised of the recommendation of <br />the City Engineer, is desirous of having the Director of Public Service <br />advertise for bids in accordance with the plans and specifications now <br />in his office for the purpose of constructing roadway improvements, and <br />WHEREAS, the District One Public Works Integrating Committee has <br />approved a grant of $270,000 for financial assistance to the City for <br />this project. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVID BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO. <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Service be and he is hereby <br />authorized to advertise for the bids for the construction of the roadway <br />improvements on Elm Road in the City of North Olmsted, all of which <br />shall be in accordance with specifications now on file in his office, <br />and that upon approval by the Board of Control, the Mayor is hereby <br />authorized to enter into a contract and execute the same on behalf of <br />the City of North Olmsted. <br />SECTION 2 That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measured immediately necessary for the preservation of the public <br />health, safety and welfare, and for the further reason that is <br />immediately necessary to take corrective actions in order to insure the <br />health, safety and welfare of the residents served by this street and <br />further provided it received the affirmative vote of two-thirds of <br />all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force <br />immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />`-`~ <br />i7- <br />A EST: , <br />~. <br />Barbara L.
