CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION N0. 91-7 <br />BY: THE MAYOR AND ENTIRE COUNCIL <br />A RESOLUTION COMMENDING THE ACHIEVEMENTS BY <br />STEPHEN HESS OF THE EAGLE SCOUT AWARD <br />IN BOY SCOUTING <br />WHEREAS, this Council and the Administration recognize <br />and reaffirm their dedication to organized Scouting; and <br />WHEREAS, this Council and the Administration further <br />recognize that those participating in scouting, both the <br />youths and their leaders, are an invaluable asset to the <br />community and the Nation, and that the ideals of Scouting, <br />the Scout Law and the Scout Pledge are commitments that all <br />citizens should strive for; and <br />WHEREAS, when one of our young citizens has been <br />committed to Scouting to such and extent that he earns the <br />rank of Eagle Scout, it is truly a noteworthy <br />accomplishment; and <br />WHEREAS, STEPHEN HESS in achieving the Eagle Scout <br />Award, has earned the following Skill Awards: Camping, <br />Citizenship, Communication, Conservation, Cooking, Community <br />Living, Environment, Family Living, First Aid, Hiking, <br />Physical Fitness and Swimming, and has also earned 35 Merit <br />Badges; and <br />WHEREAS, STEPHEN HESS has also earned the Silver Bugle <br />Award, A.S.D., and the Ad Altare Dei Religious Award, and <br />has participated in All Scouts Day, Summer Camp, in Memorial <br />Day parades, numerous weekend campouts, in the Fort Knox <br />Easter Trip and the Mile Swim; and <br />WHEREAS, the reception of the Eagle Scout Award by <br />STEPHEN HESS is a noteworthy accomplishment deserving the <br />congratulations of the entire community; and <br />WHEREAS, while Stephen was undertaking all of these <br />Scouting projects, he also participated in Marching Band, <br />Symphonic Band, Pep Band, in Stage Crafters, on the Academic <br />Team, in tennis and served as President of Student Council; <br />and <br />
