CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION N0. 91-6 <br />BY: THE MAYOR AND THE ENTIRE COUNCIL <br />A RESOLUTION COMMENDING THE ACHIEVENIEIVTS BY <br />ROBERT ROBITAILLE OF THE EAGLE SCOUT AWARD <br />IN BOY SCOUTING <br />WHEREAS, this Council and the Administration recognize and reaffirm <br />their dedication to organized Scouting; and <br />WHEREAS, this Council and the Administration further recognize that <br />those participating in the Scouting program, both the boys and their <br />leaders, are an invaluable asset to the community and the Nation, and <br />that the ideals of Scouting, the Scout Law and the Scout Pledge are <br />commitments that all citizens should strive for; and <br />WHIItEAS, when one of our young citizens has been committed to <br />Scouting to such an extent that he earns the rank of Eagle Scout, it is <br />truly a noteworthy accomplishment; and <br />WHEREAS, in order to attain the rank of Eagle Scout, the following <br />levels of Scouting had to be passed: Tenderfoot, Second Class Scout, <br />First Class Scout, Star Scout, and Life Scout; and <br />WHEREAS, ROBERT ROBITAILLE, in achieving the Eagle Scout Award, <br />has earned the following skill awards: Camping, Citizenship, <br />Communication, Conservation, Cooking, Community Living, Environment, <br />Family Living, First Aid, Hiking, Physical Fitness, and Swimming, and <br />has also earned 36 merit badges; and <br />WHEREAS, ROBERT ROBITAILLE served as Honorary Official of an All <br />Scouts Day, and participated in a Junior Leadership Training Course, <br />attended Summer Camp, participated in Memorial Day Parades, attended <br />numerous weekend Campouts, participated in the Wright Patterson Trip, <br />received the 50-Mile Canoe Award at the Tinnerman Scout Camp, <br />participated in Snorkeling activities, received the Ad Altare Dei <br />Religious Award, attended Great Trail World Camporall; and <br />WHEREAS, ROBERT ROBITAILLE has participated in the following <br />activities: CYO Basketball, Choral Music Section Leader of 1988-89, <br />Keyboard Music, 1990 Video Yearbook Producer, Bowling Team Captain, <br />Travel Club Soccer, Key Club, St. Clarence Youth Group, and is currently <br />attending Ohio University where he is majoring in Electrical and <br />Computer Engineering with a minor in Music Theory and Composition; and <br />WHEREAS, after having accomplished all of the above-mentioned <br />challenges, ROBERT ROBITAILLE was interviewed and tested by the Eagle <br />Board of Review and recommended for Eagle Scout Award; and <br />[~1iEREAS, the reception of Eagle Scout Award by ROBERT ROBITAILLE is <br />a noteworthy accomplishment deserving of the congratulations of the <br />entire comnn~n; ty. <br />
