Ordinance No. 688 <br />By Mr. Lewis <br />ATd ORDINANCE iiE"GUI.ATIT1G HUNTING IN THE VILLAGE' OF IVW.TH OaISTED. <br />BE IT ORDaIN:1O by the Council of the Village of <br />North Olmsted, Ohio: <br />aection 1. That no person shall hunt, pursue or kill <br />with a gun ary wild bird or wild animal in the Village of North Olmsted <br />without first obtaining a permit from the Folice Department. <br />Section 2. Hunting permits shall be issued by the <br />Police Department upon application which shall state the applicant's <br />na*ne, address, a,.;e and sudh other information as the Police Department ' <br />may require. <br />Section 3. At the time a permit is issued the Village <br />shall furnish the permit holder with a tag or badge to be worn on the <br />back of the hunter desio ating that he holds a permit for hunting, which <br />badge shall be returned to the Village when the permit expires. <br />Section 4. Permits to the residents and non-resident <br />owners of property in the Village of North Olmsted shall be issued <br />free and for the season. <br />Section 5. Permits issued to persons who are neither <br />property owners nor residents of the Village of Itiorth Olmsted shall be <br />for use on one day only, the date to be stated in the permit, and not <br />more than twenty-five such permits shall be issued on any one day. <br />Section 6. No permits to hunt sha11 be issued to persons <br />who are neither property owners nor residents of the Village for the <br />first twn days of the pheasant hunting season. <br />Section 7. Applicants for permits who are not residents <br />or property owners in the Village of North Olmsted shall make a deposit <br />of $1.50 at the time the permit is issued, 01.00 of which shall be re- <br />funded when the badge or tag is returned, which badge or tag shall <br />be returned on the day on iahich it is issued and if not returned on the <br />day it is issued, then the Village shall retain the 41.00, the $0.50 <br />being retained for issi:ing the permit. <br />Section g. No permit shall be issued to a non-resident <br />applicant unless he produces a hunting license and his application is <br />signed by a resident of the Village and said resident shall sponsor <br />only one hunter per day, and if the applicant has obtained a badge cr <br />tag on a previous application he must have returned the badge on the <br />day issued, otherwi.se no permit wiZl be issued. <br />Section 9. No hunting shall be permitted in the areas posted <br />as Game Sanctuaries. <br />Ssction 10. Any person found guilty of violating any of the <br />provisions of this ordinance shall be fined not to exceed 425.00. <br />Section 11. This ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure, the emergencf being that it is neeessary for the <br />imnediate preservation of public health, safety, peace and welfare thatthis <br />ord.inance be passed at once and shall take effect and be in force from and <br />after its pa.ssage. <br />i assed: t{pril %, 191+6. <br />L.
