<br />~ -' , <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0.94 - 159 <br />BY: MAYOR BOYLE AND COUNCIL <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PERSONNEL AND <br />ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES DIRECTOR TO ADVERTISE FOR <br />BIDS FOR A GROUP LIFE INSURANCE PROGRAM TO COVER <br />FULL-TIME NON-BARGAINING UNIT EMPLOYEES AS AMENDED. <br />WHEREAS, the Council of the City of North Olmsted is desirous of providing a group <br />life insurance program so as to provide financial support to survivors of full-time City of North <br />Olmsted non-bargaining unit employees upon their deaths, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to enter into an <br />agreement for said services. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Personnel and Administrative Services Director be and is hereby <br />authorized to advertise for bids for group life insurance program in an amount of coverage not <br />to exceed $20,000.00 per qualified employee and the cost of such life insurance coverage shall <br />be paid by the City of North Olmsted. A qualified employee is defined as being a full-time non- <br />bargaining unit employees except those employees within the following job classifications <br />and/or divisions: <br />All full-time non-bargaining unit employees within the Division of Transportation <br />(NOMBL). The Chief and the Assistant Chief of the Division of Fire and the Chief of the <br />Division of Police and all elected officials are excluded. All elected officials may be permitted to <br />participate within the group life insurance program. However, all such participating elected <br />officials shall have the cost of all life insurance premium deducted via payroll deduction. <br />The bid shall be in accordance with the specification now on file in the office of the Personnel <br />and Administrative Services Director and that, upon approval by the Board of Control, the <br />Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into a contract and execute same on behalf of the City of <br />North Olmsted. <br />SECTION 2: That Ordinance NO. 94-113 and any ordinance or part of any other <br />ordinance inconsistent or in conflict with this ordinance is hereby repealed to the extent of any <br />such inconsistency or conflict. <br />
