CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2006 - 85 <br />By: Mayor O'Grady <br />A RESOLUTION ENACTED BY THE CITY OF NORTH OLSMTED, <br />CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OHIO (HEREINAFTER REFERRED TO AS THE <br />LOCAL PUBLIC AGENCY, LPA), IN THE MATTER OF THE STATED <br />DESCRIBED PROJECT (RESURFACE LORAIN ROAD (SR-10) FROM <br />BROOKPARK ROAD TO THE EAST CORPORATION LINE A DISTANCE <br />OF 2.47 MILES MORE OR LESS IN THF. CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED), <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY, AS .1~11ENDED. <br />WHEREAS, on the 6t1i day of September, 2005, the LPA enacted legislation proposing <br />cooperation with the Director of Transportation for the described Project: <br />This project will restore the pavement surface by planning, applying a one inch <br />(1 ") intermediate course and one and a half inch (1-1 /2") surface course, lying <br />within the City of North Olmsted. Total work length of work being <br />approximately 2.47 miles; and <br />WHEREAS, the LPA shall cooperate with the Director of Transportation in the above <br />described project as follows: <br />The City agrees to assume and bear one hundred percent (100%) of the entire cost <br />of the improvement, less the amount of Federal-aid and State funds set aside by <br />the Director of Transportation for the financing of this improvement from funds <br />allocated by the Federal Highway Administration, U.S. Department of <br />Transportation. IThe LPA agrees to.assume;and_contribute twenty percent (20%) <br />of the cost and expense of the construction phase of this improvement determined <br />to be eligible for State Highway Funds.) <br />Also, the City agrees to assume and bear the entire cost and expense of the <br />installation and/or repair of curb ramps which are necessary to ensure the <br />compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. <br />In addition, the City also agrees to assume and bear one hundred percent (100%) <br />of the cost of any construction items requested by the City on the entire <br />improvement, which are not necessary for the improvement, as determined by the <br />State and Federal Highway Administration. <br />The share of the cost of the LPA is now estimated in the amount of Two Hundred Eighty <br />Four Thousand Eight Hundred Seventy Two ($284,872.00) Dollars, but said estimated <br />amount is to be adjusted in order that the LPA's ultimate share of said improvement shall <br />
