CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2006 - 73 <br />BY: Mayor O'Grady <br />A RESOL UTION A UTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A <br />CONTRACT WITH ARROW UNIFORM RENTAL LIMITED <br />PARTNERSHIP TO PROVIDE UNIFORM RENTAL SERVICES TO <br />THE CITY'S SERVICE AND FLEET MAINTENANCE EMPLOYEES <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY AS AMENDED. <br />WHEREAS, the City, per its collective bargaining agreement with the City's Service <br />workers, is required to provide uniforms to employees who so request; and <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Public Service has had requests for uniform service from <br />Service and Fleet Maintenance employees and, after obtaining quotes from vendors, <br />recommends that the City enter into a contract with Arrow Uniform Rental Limited Partnership <br />("Arrow Uniform"), a Michigan limited partnership authorized to conduct business in the State <br />of Ohio, to provide such requested service for Service and Fleet Maintenance employees; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council, acting upon the said recommendation, to <br />authorize the Mayor to enter into a contract with Arrow Uniform to provide said uniform <br />services to the City; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he hereby is authorized enter into a contract with <br />Arrow Uniform Rental Limited Partnership to provide uniform rental services to the City's <br />Service and Fleet Maintenance employees. Said contract shall be in the form of the document <br />entitled "Arrow Uniform Service Agreement," marked as Exhibit A, and attached hereto, with <br />only such changes to said contract to be hereinafter made as are not substantially adverse to the <br />City and which are approved by the Director of Law. The character of any such changes as not <br />being substantially adverse to the City shall be evidenced conclusively by the execution of the <br />agreements by the Mayor and the approval of the agreements by the Director of Law. <br />SECTION 2: Said contract shall specifically provide that expenditures made pursuant <br />to it, as well as pursuant to the contract with this Vendor previously authorized by this Council in <br />Resolution No. 2005-191, shall together not exceed Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars <br />($25,000.00), the maximum expenditure that may be legally made for such services without <br />formal competitive bidding. <br />
