CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 79- 165 <br />BY . }y,,-- 24-4? <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE NIAYOR OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED TO ENTER INTO AGREEMENTS FOR THE <br />INTERCHANGE OF PUBLIC SERVICE PERSONNEL, <br />PUBLIC SERVICE EQUIPMENT AND THE SERVICES OF <br />THE PUBLIC SERVICE DEPARTMENTS OF THE SIX <br />COMMUNITIES OF BAY VILLAGE, FAIRVIEW PARK, <br />LAKEWOOD, NORTH OLMSTED, ROCKY RIVER, AND <br />WESTLAKE, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, in order to obtain additional public service <br />assistance and protection of life, limb and property, and to <br />insure adeauate operation of the public service departments during <br />times of disaster and real and present emergencies, it is the desire <br />of the above referred to communities to provide for and join in <br />mutual assistance in their interchange and use of their respective <br />personnel and equipment, and their concerted effort to provide the <br />necessary services rec{uired in efficient and effective operation <br />of the service departments; <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, OHIO: <br />SECTION l: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to <br />enter into agreements for the interchange of public service personnel, <br />public service equipment and the services of the public service <br />departments of the six communities of Bay Village, Fairview Park, <br />Lakewood, North Olmsted, Rocky River and Westlake, and which <br />agreements shall be in a form approved by the Director of Law. <br />SECTION 2: That it is found and determined that all formal <br />actions o h'is Council concerning and relating to the acloption <br />of this ordinance were adopted in an open meeting of Council; and <br />that all deliberations of this Council, and of any of its committees, <br />that resulted in such formal action were in meetings open to the <br />public in compliance with all legal requirements, including Section <br />121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />SECTION 3: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of <br />the public peace, health, safety and welfare, and for the further <br />reason that it is immediately necessary to provide for additional <br />public service for the reasons recited in the preamble hereof, <br />wherefore this Ordinance sha11 be in full force and take effect <br />immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: <br />ATTEST: <br />FL RE CE CA PB L, CLERK OF COUNCIL <br />D H LIMPERT, PPXSIDENT OF <br />CO I <br />APPROVED: <br />. <br />BERT W.
