CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 79 - 159 <br />BY: Mrs. Janet A. Saringer <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO AN <br />AGREEMENT WITH THE CONSULTING FIRM OF JOHN DAVID JONES <br />AND ASSOCIATES, INC. FOR THE PREPARATION OF PLANS, <br />SPECIFICATIONS AND ESTIMATES FOR THE IMPROVEMENT OF <br />DOVER CENTER ROAD FROM BUTTERNUT RIDGE ROAD TO THE NORTH <br />CORPORATION LINE. <br />WHEREAS, Dover Center Road, within the City of North Olmsted, is in <br />need of improvement for the health and safety of the citizens of North <br />Olmsted and the users of the road, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to take advantage of funds <br />available through Federal-aid Urban Highway System Funds, and the Municipal <br />$5.00 License Tag Tax Funds, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the understanding of this Council that construction plans <br />and specifications and estimates of cost must be prepared by the city as their <br />share of the project cost and that said plans, specifications and cost esti- <br />mates will not exceed One-Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000.00). <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to enter <br />into an agreement with the engineering firm of John David Jones and Associates, <br />Inc., for the preparation of construction plans, specifications and an estimate <br />of costs in accordance with County, State and Federal standards for the improve- <br />ment of Dover Center Road. The fee to be charged should not exceed One Hundred <br />Thousand Dollars ($100,000.00), a copy of which agreement is attached hereto <br />and made a part hereof and marked Exhibit "A". <br />SECTION 2: That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from <br />and after the earliest period allowed by law. <br />PASSED: 4/,f 1979 <br />ATTEST: <br />! ?
