?.. <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION N0. 79-130 <br />BY: <br />? <br />? <br />A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE OHIO DEPARP4E.NT <br />OF TRANSPORTATION TO IMPROVE BROOKPARK ROAD, <br />STATE ROUTE 17, FR94 LORAIN ROAD, STATE ROUTE <br />10, TO THE EAST CORPORATION LINE BY RESURFACING <br />AND DECLARING AN EPERGENCY. <br />INI-EItEAS, the pavement of Broolcpark Road, State Route 17, has deteriorated <br />from Lorain p,oad, State Route 10, to the east corporation line, and <br />Wf-IEREAS, Brookpark Road, State Route 17, is a principal arterial highway <br />through the City of North Olmsted, carrying approximately 25,000 vehicles per <br />day, and <br />Wf-IEREAS, the City of North Jlmsted is desirous of cooperating with the <br />State of Ohio, Department of TransDortation, in the improvement of Brookpark Road, <br />State Route 17. ? <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, <br />COUN'I'Y OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />Section l: That the City of North Olmsted hereby requests that the Ohio <br />Departmen o-Transportation improve 13rookpark Road, State 'toute 17, from Lorain <br />Road, State Route 10, to the east corporation line by resurfacing under the super- <br />vision of the State of Ohio Department of Transportation. <br />Section 2: That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby directed to <br />transmit copies of this Resolution to the Ohio Department of Transnortation, <br />District 12, District Deputy Director. <br />Section 3: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure imme iately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and <br />welfare and for the further reason that it is immediately necessary for the pro- <br />tection of the traveling public, and further provided it receives the affirmative <br />vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in <br />force immediately upon its passage and anproval by the Ma.yor. <br />PASSED : ? ? /9 7 9 <br />ATTEST: <br />FLO NCE E.
