A <br />y?+ <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION N0. 79- 51 <br />BY : pe <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED TO APPLY FOR A FEDERAL GRANT <br />FOR OUTDOOR RECREATION PURPOSES, AND DECLARING <br />AN IIKERGENCY. <br />WI-iEREAS, the Federal Land and IVater Conservation Ftmd Act of 1965 <br />(Public Law 88-578) provides financial assistance to the State of Ohio for <br />outdoor recreation purposes, and <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted desires financial assistance <br />under the Land and Water Conservation Ftmd Act vrogram. <br />NOh', THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THF, COUNCIL OF TI-E CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION l: That the Council of the City of North Olmsted hereby <br />approves i11ng an Application for Land and Water Conservation Fund Act <br />financial assistance. <br />SECTION 2: That the rayor is hereby authorized and directed to <br />execute and file an application with the Department of Natural Resources, <br />State of Ohio, and to provide all information and docLUnentation required <br />in said application for submission to the Federal Bureau of Outdoo.r Recreation. <br />SECTION 3: That the CotuZCil of the City of North Olmsted does hereby <br />agree to oate the funds rec{uired to satisfactorily complete the proposed <br />project and thus become eligible for Land and jNater Conservation Fund Act <br />financial aid of fifty percent (500) of the actual allowable reimbursement <br />cost. <br />SECTION 4: That this Resolution is hereby dedlared to be an emergency <br />measure necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and <br />welfare and for the further reason that the City lacks funds for outdoor <br />recreation purposes, and further provided it receives the affirmative vote <br />of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and <br />be in force irrnnediately upon its passage and abproval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: <br />ATTEST : <br />APPROVED : ? - t ' ) 5 <br />ROBERT W.
